CRC Daily: Area man wins Super Bowl
Tom Brady and the Bucs used some Costa Rica magic to beat the Chiefs.
Costa Rica landowner Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday night.
It looks like the magic of the Nicoya Peninsula “blue zone” has paid off for Brady, who owns a house with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, in Santa Teresa. The 43-year-old earned MVP honors Sunday after throwing for 201 yards and three touchdown passes.
Brady has now won seven Super Bowls, one for each province in Costa Rica. Much like Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup, Brady was an underdog and overcame the odds. And while his passing game is strong, Brady runs at the speed of sloth.
All this to say: We’re pretty certain Tom Brady found the elixir of life somewhere on the Nicoya Peninsula. This championship belongs as much to Costa Rica as it does to him.
